ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITIONS FOR MEMBERS OF THE CONSULTATIVE COUNCIL OF CONSUMERS OF AIR TRANSPORT SERVICES (TCAA-CCC) 

Job Title: WAJUMBE WA BARAZA LA USHAURI LA WATUMIAJI WA HUDUMA ZA USAFIRI WA ANGA

1. INTRODUCTION 

The Air Transport Service Users Consultative Council (TCAA-CCC) is created under Article 56(2) of the Civil Aviation Act Chapter 80 Year Edition 2020. The Council has the responsibility to defend and represent the interests  of users of transportation services regulated by the TCAA.  According to the Law, the Minister in charge of Transport issues has been given the authority to appoint members of the Council from among the stakeholders or users of Air transport services who have the qualifications to fill these positions.  

In order to facilitate the appointment, the Secretary General invites applications from Tanzanians with the qualifications and ability to fill the positions of Members of the Advisory Council for Users of Aviation Services as specified in this announcement.  

2. DUTIES OF THE ADVISORY COUNCIL OF USERS OF AIR TRANSPORT SERVICES 

In accordance with Article 57(1) of the Civil Aviation Act, the duties of the Council include:- 

(a) Representing the interests of users by making presentations, giving opinions  and controlled by TCAA 

(b) Receiving and disseminating information and opinions related to matters of interest 

(c) Creating Committees of Users of Regional Aviation Services and of 

(d) Conducting research on matters affecting the interests of Industry Users of information  and consult with TCAA, the Minister as well as Ministers of other Sectors for users of services and products regulated by TCAA;  Sector controlled by TCAA and consult with those Committees; and controlled by TCAA.  

3. QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANTS 

In accordance with Article 56(4) of the Aviation Law, the Selection of Council Members will focus on people who have graduated from Form Four/Six who have completed a Bachelor's/Higher Diploma and have sufficient understanding of the interests of users  of services regulated by TCAA including the interests of:- 

(a) People with low income;  

(b) Associations of industrialists and traders;  

(c) Government and social organizations.
