1. Construction superintendent

WRS are looking for a Construction Superintendent to start on an pipeline project

Qualifications Required
- Tertiary/Professional qualification in construction management or other Company agreed applicable discipline certifications that support the field and site construction management and execution of the onshore Pipeline and related AGI, MST facilities and EITS infrastructure works scopes
- A minimum of 15 years greenfield site construction experience working in the Oil & Gas sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in similar site construction lead roles on large pipeline and process plants.
- 10 years of construction experience working within a cross-functional oil & gas pipeline project team supporting; field engineering, interface, construction, completions, and commissioning readiness.
- Experienced in analysing construction metrics to create accurate reporting KPI’s and progress status back to the project management team
Required
- Competency and proven experience within EPC
- Competency within industry applications such as Assure, OMIE, Aconex, SharePoint, Adobe, MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- Comprehensive understanding of the project construction strategy and commitments including safety, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and progress inspections
- A high focus on identifying and meeting the key project deliverables and objectives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of compliance, risk controls and site HSE requirements for safe work execution
- Understanding of critical path and key milestones deliverables within the construction planning programs
- Demonstrated proficiency in the interpretation of engineering drawings, plans and specifications
- Demonstrated knowledge & understanding of ASME, API, ISO, IEC about package installations
- Demonstrated knowledge of system/sub-systems testing, commissioning and completions management
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of flange management & structural bolt torquing methods
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of hydro-testing, flushing, cleaning and box-up
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of LOTO and energy isolation procedures
- Demonstrated communication skills including the ability to articulate construction concerns and solutions with teams consisting of individuals with various technical and educational backgrounds.

3. Document Controller
Job description
Are you looking for your next, new exciting project? Then we have just the role for you. WRS are looking for a Document Controller to start on the EACOP project.
EACOP is a 1,443km crude oil export pipeline that will transport Uganda’s crude oil from Kabaale – Hoima in Uganda to the Chongoleani peninsula near Tanga port in Tanzania.
This project is looking to run over the next 3 years and is a fantastic opportunity to work on the longest heated pipeline in the world.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in Engineering and Consultancy based EPCm Document Control role
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Lead Document Controller
- Recent experience working on multi-billion-dollar construction projects required.
- Experience working in East Africa desirable.
- Confidence in heading up meetings and presenting is a must.
- Experience with large scale Document Control software is required, Aconex is highly desirable.
- Proven accuracy, reliability with a conscientious work ethic.
- Must be details oriented and highly organised.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills

4. Senior Construction Engineer
Job description
Senior Construction Engineer
On behalf of a major PMC company, WRS are looking for a Senior Construction Engineer to work in Tanzania on a contract on a rotational basis. This will be a long term contract which we be rotating 8x2 in an office role, paying an hourly rate in USD
The role will be to monitor the day-to-day construction activities of the contractors. They will ensure work is carried out using safe working practices and is completed in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and specifications. Deals with technical queries at site level and communicates design changes with Engineering Department
Ideal candidate will have:
- -Degree in Engineering or suitable equivalent (HNC/HNC) with experience as below.
- -Minimum of 10 years’ experience required in Oil & Gas Pipeline construction projects,
- -5 years in similar position for pipeline projects.

5. Construction Lead

Construction Lead - Tanzania
On behalf of a major EPC company, WRS are looking for a Construction Lead to work in Tanzania on a contract, rotational basis. This will be a long term contract, rotating 6/2 to site, paying an hourly rate in USD
The role will be working on athe construction of an onshore Pipeline, and will be responsible for Supervision of the day-to-day construction activities of the EPCMC staff & Contractors in the construction of works supporting the project.
Ideal candidate will have:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification (HNC/HND) combined with extensive field experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience required in Oil & Gas Pipeline construction projects
- 5 years in similar position on pipeline construction projects.
