2 Fleet Management System Technician

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The purpose of the Role is to achieve an effective and reliable performance of Fleet Management System’s hardware and Software by maximizing network coverage, functionality of Fatigue management tools embedded within FMS for all Mining Operation in real-time production and Safety activities. The integrity of the database and operating systems is critical in driving real-time production and safety gains. A healthy Fleet Management System creates real-time opportunities to avert production loss, wrong recording of haul cycle time components resulting in a high data integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Diploma/Degree in Electronics/Tele communication/ ICT.

EXPERIENCE:
  • A minimum of 2 years working in Open Pit Mining Environment.

Coordinator 1- Environment

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To coordinate all environmental related tasks within the Heavy Mining Equipment and Light Mobile Equipment workshops to ensure compliance to environmental requirements/aspects as per GGM standards.

 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE).
  • Trade Certificate Level Three, Diploma or FTC in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering.

  • EXPERIENCE:
  • A minimum of 5years’ experience in Mining industry with sound knowledge in Environmental Management, experienced in Maintenance of Mobile Equipment preferably Heavy Mining Equipment’s.

Tradesperson 1 - Auto Electrical

QUALIFICATIONS
  • VETA Trade Test Certificate Grade One in Auto - Electrical.  
  • VETA Grade One/Level Three and above in Auto Electrical.
  • Diploma/ Full technician in  Electrical/ Automotive Engineering or above.
  • Degree or Advance Diploma in Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:
  • At least  2 – 5 years working experience working in Mining industry
  • Working experience with different models of Mining Caterpillar Machines O&K, RH40, RH170 Excavators and MT4400AC, Bell Trucks Normets
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting to all the machines above
  • Knowledge of hydraulic system and competent in Electrical circuits.


3 Assistant 1 - Evaluation

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To do Mining Equipment Maintenance i.e., Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance and Breakdown work. Should do as much as possible to have much of planned task and minimize break down work which is very possible by doing proper and effective inspection during daily routine inspection as scheduled and recording defects for planning maintenance and ad hoc work purpose which will lead to have right schedule time for the tasks during planning meeting. Maintain safety standard throughout before, during and after completion of the task execution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • VETA Trade Test Certificate Grade One in Auto - Electrical.  
  • VETA Grade One/Level Three and above in Auto Electrical.
  • Diploma/ Full technician in  Electrical/ Automotive Engineering or above.
  • Degree or Advance Diploma in Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage.

Supervisor - UG Engineering

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To assist the underground mechanics team plus working very closely with experts in all aspects of effective Facilities Maintenance at the UG HME department. Should also be responsible to help successful delivery of the planned maintenance regime, fulfilling its statutory obligations, whilst providing a breakdown reactive response harmonizing both customers and organizational requirements.

 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma/Full Technical Certificate in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering.
  • VETA Trade Test Certificate Grade One/Level Three in Mechanical Engineering.

Work Management Planner

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To conduct planning work as a member of the Engineering team accountable for the delivery of the planned performance of the department with zero injuries at the lowest practical unit cost. To specify the requirements for safely, correctly, and efficiently completing approved work. To execute all planned and unplanned tasks and release the equipment safely to the mining operation team.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Automotive / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized Institute or College of Higher Learning.
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive or Electrical Engineering.
  • Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive or Electrical Engineering.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in Mining industry and must possess the following.
  • Extensive Scheduling / planning experience in Engineering / maintenance / production / process environment.

HME Technical Specialist

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The purpose of this role is to work with HME Field service maintenance team to provide Quality of Maintenance on all equipment’s and works which are executed both at the Field and w/shop to maximize up time after being released from the maintenance or Breakdown


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Full Technician Certificate in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering
  • Diploma in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Degree or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
